About the Role

As a Sustainability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in conducting energy audits, implementing energy efficiency measures, and supporting the development of sustainable energy strategies for our diverse client base. You will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that align with national and international sustainability goals.

About You

You are a proactive Sustainability Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in energy efficiency and sustainable design. Skilled in energy audits, modelling tools like IES VE, and compliance with Irish regulations, you deliver practical solutions that align with client goals. Collaborative and client-focused, you communicate complex technical information effectively and thrive in multidisciplinary teams. Passionate about sustainability, you are eager to contribute to impactful energy projects and support the transition to a low-carbon future.

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 7) or higher in Energy Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in energy engineering, sustainability consulting, or a related discipline

  • Experience completing energy audits (S.I. 426 Compliance)

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Irish building regulations, energy performance standards, and sustainability certification systems (Climate Action Plan Targets)

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Driving License: Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required

Other Desirable Skills
  • ISO50001 Implementation/Maintenance Experience

  • CEM/CEA Accreditation

  • Experience with energy modelling software, building energy simulations, and thermal comfort analysis (BER Certification/Part L Compliance)
