What is the Role:

The Group Strategy & Sustainability team is a centralised group function that works closely with the Group’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee to support development of the group’s medium-term strategy and to embed sustainable practices across the group. Led by the Group’s Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer, the team brings a solution-oriented mindset to help solve an array of local and global challenges.

The Sustainability Performance team are responsible for the tracking and monitoring of the Group’s progress on the delivery of its sustainability ambition through a suite of internal and external reports and associated architecture. This is achieved through the preparation and delivery of sustainability disclosures reporting on the Groups progress against a suite of mandatory and voluntary requirements by the Sustainability Reporting team.

Reporting to the Head of the Sustainability Reporting team, this role offers the opportunity for an experienced, high-performing individual to join this ambitious team and support the delivery of our Sustainability Reporting requirements.

Key accountabilities.

  • Production of sustainability reports including EU Taxonomy and Pillar 3 ESG Risk templates along with online submissions the CBI and ECB.
  • Ability to analyse variances on Sustainability Reports and interrogate large volumes of data on the Enterprise Data Warehouse to support this analysis.
  • Operate and oversee effective suite of controls on reporting activities.
  • Ongoing review and enhancement of the production process and data sources to ensure an efficient and effective production process.
  • Develop excellent relations with stakeholders across the organisation to support the production and delivery of the reports.
  • Monitoring, interpreting and analysing complex legislation, frameworks and standards.
  • Produce documentation for all reporting activities in line with BCBS239 requirements.
  • Maintain a schedule of regulatory & reporting requests, timelines and documentation

What you Will Bring;

  • 5 years’ experience in an ESG reporting, Regulatory reporting, Finance or Risk role is desirable.
  • Comprehensive skills in interrogating data.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and execute activities in a timely manner, whilst dealing with competing priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse business areas and stakeholder groups

    Technical Capabilities:

    • Knowledge of Legal and Regulatory Requirements: Ensuring its implementation, completion and monitoring where required.
