ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Swim Teacher to join our Leisure Centre team on a part time basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality swimming lessons to children and adults of all abilities, promoting water safety, confidence, and skill development in a fun and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons in line with recognised teaching standards
• Teach swimmers of varying ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced levels
• Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment at all times
• Monitor swimmer progress and provide regular feedback to participants and/or parents
• Enforce pool safety rules and adhere to all health & safety procedures
• Assist with the organisation of swim programmes, classes, and assessments
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress records
• Work collaboratively with lifeguards and leisure centre staff

Key Skills & Requirements

• Recognised Swim Teaching Qualification (e.g., Swim Ireland Level 1 or equivalent)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience teaching swimming lessons (preferred)
• Strong awareness of health and safety in aquatic environments

Desirable Qualifications

• Valid Lifeguard Qualification (desirable but not essential)
