What is the Role:
The HR Team Lead will oversee the Leave Support function within HR Direct, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and employee-focused HR services.
This role is pivotal in shaping operational excellence, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and managing third-party HR service providers. You’ll work closely with HR Centres of Excellence and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader HR strategy and compliance frameworks.
Key accountabilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach a high-performing HR team to deliver exceptional leave-related services (e.g., maternity, paternity, sick leave and income protection).
- Process Improvement: identify and implement process enhancements to improve service delivery, reduce complexity, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Change Management: Champion HR transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new tools, policies, and ways of working.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with Occupational Health, Income Protection, and other third-party providers to ensure service quality and compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence and internal stakeholders to align services with business needs and employee expectations.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Ensure accurate HR data management and reporting to support decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Be an employee centric leader while providing a consistently high standard for all employees.
What you Will Bring:
- 3+ years in a leadership position within an operations centric role, ideally with experience within or significant exposure to Human Resource related functions and processes
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and support HR team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and compliance frameworks.
- A continuous improvement mindset to streamline processes and enhance employee experience while maintaining data integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal & Stakeholder Management skills, building strong relationships with a number of third parties and HR Centre of Excellence teams.
- Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., SAP, CRM, SuccessFactors) and data reporting tools is an advantage.
