Team Leader

Applications are invited for the position of Team Leader, Value Centre North Road.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will provide support to the Operations Manager to ensure the Value Centre operates in a professional, compliant and profitable manner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing support in the absence of the Operations Manager and to carry out any duties as required

• Assist the Operations Manager in monitoring and achieving Key Performance Indicators

• Working in conjunction with Management in relation to effective replenishment and stock control in line with company procedures, whilst also ensuring stock availability to meet customer needs

• Assist management in the completion of stock takes

• Contributing to the effective management and reduction of wastage within the branch

• Ensuring security of Cash & Carry is maintained, protecting employees and stock

• Ensuring the effective supervision of employees in the Value Centre, as directed

• Contribute to the operation of the branch in a customer focused/friendly manner

Job requirements

The successful candidate will:

• Be a highly motivated self-starter

• Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional manner

• Ensuring that delivery vehicles are loaded accurately and in timely manner

• Have experience in a customer-facing role

• Have experience of the licensed and/or grocery, catering trade

• Have the ability to contribute to the management of day-to-day floor operation of the Cash & Carry, including staff, stock control, deliveries & merchandising

• Have previous buying and stock control experience (advantageous)

• Have some understanding of HACCP
