Technical Compliance Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Compliance Officer at our Ballybay, Monaghan location.

In this dynamic position, you will report directly to the Site Technical Manager and lead a variety of continuous improvement initiatives. You'll be instrumental in cultivating our food safety culture while managing key components such as audits, customer feedback, and the oversight of quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance & Verification: Design and implement the verification process required to ensure operational compliance to Kepak, customer and regulatory standards.
  • Sampling & Investigation: Ensure implementation of the site sampling plan, accurate submission of samples and verification of results to ensure compliance with legislation and customer requirements. Manage investigations for out-of-spec findings.
  • Non-conformance Management: Log and investigate customer complaints and claims, as well as supplier non-conformances; manage supplier KPIs and trends.
  • Traceability & Testing: Implement traceability schedule to demonstrate compliance with customer specifications and regs
  • Food Safety Excellence: Lead continuous improvement in food safety and quality standards through continuous process evaluation and innovation. Positively contribute to site CI development and delivery by providing relevant input and actively participating in project teams.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Build and maintain positive relationships with Operations, NPD, Health & Safety, Supply chain and HR teams to ensure effective collaboration.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Support engagement with auditors, customers, and suppliers, maintaining professionalism and compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Must have experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • HACCP knowledge and strong understanding of food safety principles.
  • Knowledge of GMP, auditing processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in Internal auditing or train the trainer experience a distinct advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
