Technical Product Owner, WMS Supply Chain

We are currently seeking a Technical Product Owner to join our team. This role is based in our Head Office in Dublin city centre.
Role Purpose
The Technical Product Owner is accountable for the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Supply Chain Execution platforms, including the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Carrier Management, and associated fulfilment integrations.
This role ensures operational continuity across warehouse operations, carrier allocation, and order fulfilment by providing clear platform ownership, integration governance, and structured release/change management.
The Product Owner acts as the single accountable owner bridging Technology, Supply Chain, Ecommerce, Warehouse Operations, and external carriers.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Operational Stability
- Own end‑to‑end performance of WMS, Carrier Manager and related fulfilment platforms.
- Ensure platform uptime, reliability, and timely incident resolution.
- Lead L1 to L3 triage, ensuring clear prioritisation, ownership, and communication across teams.
- Act as the escalation point for operational, carrier, and integration issues.
Release, Change & Environment Management
- Govern all releases, hotfixes, and configuration changes across multiple sites.
- Maintain environment alignment for all platforms, including WMS and Carrier Manager Test/Production environments.
- Own configuration documentation, change logs, rule sets, and troubleshooting materials.
Integration & Data Quality Governance
- Ensure integration flows (ERP ↔ WMS ↔ Carrier Manager ↔ Warehouse Operator) are reliable and error‑free.
- Monitor and resolve integration issues relating to data, rules, API connections, file transfers, and carrier onboarding.
- Own reconciliation processes to ensure inventory and order data accuracy.
- Support periodic audits and continuous monitoring of system integrity.
Carrier Management Ownership – Level 2
Carrier Manager & Configuration Management
- Own rule configuration (allocation rules, country delivery rules, carrier restrictions, etc.).
- Maintain and update rules in line with carrier requirements, compliance changes, and commercial decisions.
Carrier Onboarding & Integration
- Manage new carrier onboarding, API setup, file transfers, and integration lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Carrier Manager support via the ticketing portal for all L3 escalations.
L1 / L2 Escalation Management
- Govern the flow of issues raised by GXO Operations/Customer Service (L1) into structured L2 tickets.
- Ensure L1 teams are supported with correct processes and trained to avoid leakage into L2.
Testing & Environment Alignment
- Coordinate with IT QA to maintain alignment between Carrier Manager Test and Production environments.
- Validate and approve test scripts and scenarios.
- Ensure all carrier rule updates and system changes follow structured release testing.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain all Carrier Manager documentation and ensure ownership is clearly assigned across IT, Ecommerce, and Operations.
Operational & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Act as the bridge between Technology, Warehouse Operations, Ecommerce, and Customer Service.
- Ensure superusers and Warehouse Operator teams are enabled with correct processes and training.
- Drive weekly system performance reviews, including WMS stability, Carrier Manager exceptions, and carrier performance.
Continuous Improvement & Roadmap Execution
- Lead platform evolution across WMS, Carrier Manager, and integrations.
- Identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and simplification across fulfilment flows.
- Shape long‑term scaling decisions (new sites, new carriers, new capabilities).
Skills & Experience Required
- 3 – 5 years in IT support, system administration, or platform operations.
- Minimum 2 years experience with WMS, Carrier Manager, or logistics execution platforms.
- Strong understanding of warehouse, fulfilment, and carrier operations.
- Experience with integrations, rule‑based systems, and multi‑site environments.
- Familiarity with data structures, reporting tools, and operational analytics.
