Technical Sales Graduate

As a Graduate in Gem, during your 2 year Graduate Programme, you will have gained valuable work experience.

Responsibilities 

• The Technical Sales Graduate will be responsible for the following:  
• Dealing with customers by phone and email, in discussing, selecting and specifying appropriate product to meet the customer’s requirements.
• Pro-actively identifying new potential customers and contacting existing and new customers by phone to determine if they have potential requirements and closing out sales.
• Understand the specifications and applications of the products Finol sell. 
• Assessing customer requirements, through pro-active interaction.
• Liaising with fellow colleagues in obtaining pricing, quotations and proposals to meet customers’ requirements.
• Following up enquiries received from Area Business Managers and preparing proposals for customers to meet these enquiries.
• Logging enquiries on the sales system, HubSpot. Pro-actively following up enquiries with customers, and sales representatives and in doing so, keeping the sales enquiry database up to date.
• Attending monthly Sales meetings.
• Attending trade shows. 
• Visiting customers occasionally and as required.
• Ad hoc duties as required. 

Candidate Profile

• 2.1 Honours degree in a Business or Technical discipline.
• IT savvy and highly proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint skills and Word. 
• Highly motivated, capable of working on own initiative.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
