Position Description 

The core purpose of the ESB Customer Solutions business is to inspire, empower and support our customers and communities to reach a net zero electric future. The Residential Markets team develops and delivers easily understood sustainable products and services for Electric Ireland customers based on customer insights and research.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic sales manager to support our Net Zero growth ambitions and to lead the customer sales for the growing suite of Net Zero Products, including Solar PV and EV chargers. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Team Leadership & Performance. Develop and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve Net Zero Product (NZP) targets. Manage performance and staffing forecasts for customer sales/support functions.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution. Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Digital, and CVM teams to design and implement NZP sales strategies. Oversee all lead generation and sales channels including field sales and loyalty teams.
  • Customer Support Transformation. Integrate sales capabilities into the outsourced customer support team. Implement new business processes, customer journeys, and training programs.
  • Process & Technology Optimization. Identify and deploy IT tools to support business processes. Streamline operations to reduce customer acquisition and retention costs.
  • Partnership Development. Identify, negotiate, and establish new sales partnerships and channels for NZPs.
  • Customer Experience Management. Manage aftersales support and installation partner interfaces to ensure smooth customer journeys.
  • Product & Innovation Support. Contribute to the development of new propositions, bundled offers, and pilot product rollouts.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • 3rd level qualification or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum 7 years relevant industry experience including sales, with excellent knowledge of Net Zero Products and renewables industry (e.g. Solar PV)
  • Strong understanding of sales channels and lead generation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools
  • Experience in supporting sales teams and third-party vendors
  • Commercial acumen and strong reporting and analytical skills

Location 

This position will be based in Swift Square, Santry, Co. Dublin

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary

€69,500 - €81,800 per annum (depending on experience)
