Telephony And Unified Communications Manager
Purpose of the Role
CHI is looking for a hands-on, active and highly experienced Telephony and Unified Communications Manager to oversee and manage teams across CHI.
This position forms a key role within the overall CHI Digital Health function. This function goes across all facilities under the management structure of CHI. The post holder will be expected to work across all locations and with all ICT teams associated with CHI.
The role will be responsible for:
- Developing and providing best in class, highly available, performant and cost-effective telephony and associated solutions across CHI
- Managing key dependencies on service desk, infrastructure and telcos
- Managing key vendor relationships and integrating Unified Communications support processes with wider CHI digital health support processes
- Providing expert knowledge and support to stakeholders of solutions.
- Leading and supporting the enhancements, upgrades and improvements of CHI’s Telephony and Unified Communications solutions.
- Align local requirements with CHI’s strategic direction ensuring the delivery of Unified Communications support meet the needs of all CHI facilities.
- Supporting the transition from existing Hospitals to new children’s hospital resources and teams.
- Supporting the implementation of the future system architecture of CHI including Change Advisory Board.
- Managing and delivering a Telephony and Unified Communications Projects as required.
- Supporting the implementation of the EHR, clinical and corporate systems, and dependent technologies as required.
- Participating in key ITIL processes such as the management of change, incidents, problems and service management.
The successful candidate will be expected to
- Work with the Digital Health leadership team to plan, control, manage and deliver network, security, upgrades and projects.
- Manage complex teams and deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to all members of the team, leading by example gaining an in-depth understanding of all facets of CHI’s Digital Health Department and contribute when required to the completion of specific activities.
- Overall development and management of plans, as well as tracking and communicating the status of projects.
- Manage risks, issues and scope within the governance structure ensuring appropriate reporting, escalation and approvals.
- · Take the lead in preparing, reviewing and seeking endorsement of key documents.
- Balancing the schedules, scope, and resources across multiple teams to ensure optimal outcomes and timelines are achieved.
- Maximise investment in ITSM products to support the platform including the use of service now for handling incidents of all types, requests, problems and change.
- Develop and manage performance metrics for service delivery and cost management
Essential Criteria:
- A relevant 3rd level degree/post-graduate qualification in a technical discipline such as Technology or Science
- Relevant post-qualification experience in a similar and relevant role – minimum of 3 years.
- OR
- If qualification criteria cannot be met, 7+ years’ experience in a similar and relevant role.

So that the Onboarding team can confirm your start date, you will need to ensure that your mandatory training is completed at least 7 days prior to your commencement date.
