Temporary Executive Officer, Accounts Payable
Role Purpose
Cpl are seeking a Temporary Executive Officer Accounts Payable for our client Coimisiún na Meán. The successful candidate will be employed by Cpl on a temporary assignment working in Coimisiún na Meán, supporting the accounts payable process and completing other general finance tasks.
About the Team/Division
Finance and Procurement falls within Coimisiún na Meán's Corporate Services Division along with the areas of Governance, People and Organisational Development, Commission Secretariat and International Affairs.
The mission of the Corporate Services Division is to ensure that Coimisiún na Meán is an agile, well-run organisation, with motivated and capable staff. The division will ensure that Coimisiún na Meán operates to a high standard of corporate governance, effectively and in accordance with the Code of Practice on the Governance of State Bodies and our governing legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring of POs and following up for invoicing;
- Processing of monthly grant payment runs;
- Creating invoices for grants where required for recoupment;
- Support the Finance Team in monthly and day to day finance tasks including month end close process;
- Assist with audits and addressing audit findings;
Essential Criteria
- Experience in bookkeeping;
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- High level of integrity and confidentiality regarding financial and sensitive information;
- Willingness to collaborate and provide support to other team members, including assisting with tasks and projects as needed;
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable Criteria
- Part-qualified accountant
- Experience working with month-end processes;
- Experience working in finance in the public sector.
Key Information
Benefits, Package & Pay
- This position is offered on a temporary agency contract for a period of 10 weeks.
The successful candidate will be employed by Cpl - Full time, 35 hrs per week
- Annual Leave: 23 days per annum, pro rata
- The role will be a hybrid role combining home and office working. Coimisiún na Meán’scurrent hybrid policy is 2 days in the office.
- The office is located at One Shelbourne Buildings, Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, D04 NP20.
- This position is graded at the Executive Officer scale.
- Successful candidates will be appointed on the first point of the scale.
