Therapy Assistant

CHILDREN’S SERVICES, DUBLIN

PERMANENT FULL-TIME CONTRACT (39 Hours Per Week).

Salary: €36,288 - €45,484 * (lsi)

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience.

Avista is a dynamic disability service providing clinical supports and residential services to children and young people with complex disability needs and their families. We have 3 network teams in Blanchardstown, Blakestown & Cabra.

This post is being recruited for the Children’s Disability Network Team: Blanchardstown. However, at times duties may be assigned across the three teams.

The successful candidate will be joining dynamic, family-centered, interdisciplinary teams with excellent access to supervision and support from experienced therapists. The successful candidate will be aligned to a clinical discipline (Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and/or Physiotherapy) to carry out assigned clinical and administrative duties that support the clinicians and the interdisciplinary team in providing a high-quality service to children and young people with complex needs.

Essential:

• Possess the Certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support at Level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) maintained by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
• Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Full Clean Driving licence and use of a car.
• Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.

Desirable:

• Experience working with children with disability and their families.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Any relevant post graduate training specific to child disability services.
