We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team in Blackberry CDNT, Dock Road, Limerick
Contract Type: Part Time Permanent Contract
Contract Hours: 28 Hours per week
Salary Scale: €32,372 - €37,617 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 Days per annum pro rata
Overview of the Post:
To work under the supervision of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist to provide assistance with the provision of therapy supports to children attending the service and work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families.

The successful candidate will have
Essential Criteria:
- Possess the relevant QQI Further Education and Training (FET) Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills.
OR
- FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support.
OR
- A relevant healthcare qualification.
OR
- Be currently employed as an Attendant, Multi-Task or a comparable role and be willing to undertake a QQI/FET Level 5 programme in Health Service skills or equivalent.
AND
- Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
- Full clean drivers licence
- Experience of working with children.
- Experience of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Be eligible to work in the state.
Desirable Criteria:
- 1 year experience working with young children with ‘complex’ disabilities.
- Experience of providing a community based service.
- Experience of carrying out therapy programmes.
