GIA is now seeking applications from ambitious professionals who are keen to pursue an opportunity as a Third Party Management Expert based in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify Third Party Management (TPM) risk in AIB and develop an audit strategy, including inputting to the wider audit plan, enabling GIA to provide adequate assurance of the controls in place to mitigate TPM risks and associated coverage to ensure all key third party suppliers have sufficient oversight from GIA..
  • Through participation in internal audits, assist with the challenge of TPM risk related internal control processes including development of a standard work programme to be utilised by GIA.
  • Acting as a TPM risk SME in GIA by demonstrating experience and knowledge of TPM practices and key associated risks and through provision of TPM related training within GIA.
  • Manage the resolution of agreed issues and exceptions with the business areas and stakeholders within agreed timetables;
  • Actively develop and maintain positive working relationships with management within the business to enhance the effectiveness and reputation of GIA; and
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of GIA's audit methodology standards, processes and AIB organisational structure.

What you will bring: 

  • For this role, there is a preference for professionally qualified candidates (ideally CIA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification) or candidates undergoing these exams with financial services audit experience.
  • Have a proven experience of TPM risk management, including an understanding of the second line of defence in a banking environment and the associated risks, and knowledge of risk management methodologies.
  • An understanding of regulations relating to TPM e.g. EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Arrangement, PRA and FCA Outsourcing requirements and the CBI Cross Industry Guidelines on Outsourcing.
  • Strong track record of interaction and collaboration with an array of stakeholders at all levels with track record of delivery against multiple competing objectives.
