About the role

Here at Kerry, we are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent Third Party Manufacturing Lead based in Naas, Ireland (on a hybrid working model).

As Third Party Manufacturing Lead, you’ll be responsible for contract manufacturing/third party manufacturing partners across EU & APMEA supporting the Applied Health & Nutrition business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to join a Global entity offering exposure across multiple functions and countries. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are a methodical worker, with attention to detail, diligent and organised.

This role is critical to establishing and maintaining close rapport with internal and external stakeholders. You will be working closely with our business VP's and leading contract negotiations with external parties, so you must be able to demonstrate confident and concise communication skills.

Key responsibilities

Project Management l (70% of role)

  • Act as primary entry point for AH&N Third-party manufacturing (TPM) requests from across the business
  • Review, filter & seek business approval for same per stage-gate process
  • Act as Project Manager to identify & qualify new or existing TPMs through flawless execution of qualification project plan.
  • Setting-up & leading cross-functional project teams, hosting meetings, driving actions & issue timely meeting minutes
  • Negotiate favorable supply agreements on behalf of Kerry AH&N with TPM
  • Ensure seamless handover of tactical TPM operations to Kerry controlling site on project completion

Strategic Management l (20% of role)

  • Responsible for the strategic & long-term management of TPMs
  • Responsible for the development & management of a Supply Agreement management plan in conjunction with team Supply Agreement manager
  • Responsible for the development & management of a Risk Management plan in conjunction with team Risk Management manager
  • Responsible for contributing to & maintaining key TPM team tools such as global TPM database, price benchmarking file, TPM price approval file & TPM contact & escalations file among others

Relationship Management l (10% of role)

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager between TPMs and Kerry
  • Deal with issues/escalations appropriately & as required
  • Strike & maintain close relationships with key TPM leads/account managers/MDs etc.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required (Supply Chain, Business, Project Management, Procurement, or related field highly desirable). Graduate degree is preferred
  • Project management experience and/or qualifications would be highly desirable
  • Experience in managing third-party partners, preferably in a food & beverage environment would be advantageous
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food & beverage environment would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of food production supply chain principles as it relates to GMP, FDA, and Department of Agriculture regulations would be advantageous
  • Demonstrable evidence of skills, attributes & values as outlined within
  • Basic business financial understanding would be advantageous
  • Travel: 25% approx
