Apprentice Toolmakers

Cootehill Precision Engineering are seeking an Apprentice Toolmaker, be part of a highly skilled team of toolmakers and engineers to manufacture parts for all industries using the latest CNC and manual machines.

This is a 4-year apprenticeship.  Earn while you learn!

Job description

Duties:

• Ensure that all Health and Safety rules are adhered to at all times​.
• Learn to use manual lathe and milling machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances for specific one off/low-volume specialist customer requirements.​

Job details:

• You would be joining a team of Highly Skilled Toolmakers who manufacture parts for all industries throughout Ireland and the UK and Scotland.
• You will receive full training as Apprentice Toolmaker (the highest skilled trade in Ireland) under the Solas standard for Apprenticeships.
• You will receive payment while being trained.

Candidate Requirements:

• Leaving Certificate (preferred) (or someone who has tried College and it did not suit them)
• A Mechanical background would be an advantage.

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay.

Work Location: One location based in Cootehill.
