Tote & Wagering Assistant Manager, Greyhound Stadium
RCÉ are looking for a highly organised, dependable and commercially aware individual to join our Tote & Wagering Department. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy, customer-focused operational environment and will have strong numerical, administrative and people-coordination skills. They must demonstrate sound judgement, close attention to detail and the ability to resolve operational issues calmly and practically.
This is a dual operational role. The successful candidate will support the Head of Tote with the management and continuous improvement of Tote and wagering operations nationally, while also taking direct responsibility for managing Tote operations at Limerick Greyhound Stadium.
The role will include:
- Managing Limerick Greyhound Stadium Tote operations on each race night.
- Coordinating Tote staff, operational cover, equipment and resources.
- Ensuring cash controls, reconciliations, records and operational documentation are completed accurately.
- Addressing customer, staffing, system and operational issues as they arise.
- Supporting consistent Tote operating standards across the wider stadium network.
- Assisting with online wagering operations, customer-account matters and wagering-system improvements.
- Working closely with Stadium Management, Finance, IT, Customer Support, Tote Managers and external service providers.
The current Limerick race-night schedule is:
- Thursday Afternoon
- Saturday Night
- The last Friday of each month
Candidates must therefore be available to work these scheduled race meetings, including evenings and weekends. Flexibility will also be required to work at major events and to travel nationally when operationally necessary.
Applicants should have at least two years’ experience in an operational, administrative or supervisory role, together with experience in coordinating staff or resources, working with financial information or reconciliations, preparing reports and maintaining accurate records. Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills are also required.
Experience in betting, wagering, gaming, racing or another regulated operational environment would be an advantage, as would experience with online transactional systems, audits, operational change or process improvement.
