Traceability Operations Manager
Purpose of Role:
Traceability ensures that the fibres used in Primark's products meet standards by providing visibility throughout the supply chain, from raw materials to finished products. The Product Traceability Operations Manager is crucial in implementing and maintaining the integrity of Primark’s traceability programme, leading global operations, driving adoption, and transforming complex data into actionable insights. This role involves collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders, optimizing system performance, and fostering continuous improvement. Strong leadership is required to manage a global team, promote inclusion, trust, and high performance, and mentor individuals. With a strategic mindset, the manager supports the programme's rollout, refines system capabilities with vendors, and navigates sustainability trends, balancing innovation and operational pressures in a dynamic environment.

What you’ll do as a Product Traceability Operations Manager:
- Lead and manage the traceability team, ensuring seamless communication and support for suppliers and internal queries.
- Safeguard data integrity within the system, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Transform data into strategic insights, delivering reports and presentations for informed decision-making.
- Drive engagement for the traceability programme, oversee rollout execution, and manage partnerships.
- Partner with platform vendors to optimize the traceability tool and implement SOPs for risk mitigation.
- Design and deliver traceability training, allocate resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage and mentor a global team, fostering collaboration, inclusion, and high performance.
What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
- Proven track record in Sourcing, Vendor Management, or Ethical Trade with over 5 years of experience, and demonstrated people management experience, preferably with global teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in a second language being a plus.
- Excellent planning, organization, and multi-tasking abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to analyse large volumes of data.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining agile and delivering solutions amidst changing business requirements, with a genuine interest in sustainability.
- High integrity, diplomacy, and professionalism, with effective presentation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to lead, influence, and coach others.
