JOB TITLE: Trainee Airside Auditor

REPORTING TO: Airport Duty Manager

HOURS OF WORK: 42 hours per week on a 12-hour shift system of 2 days and nights

JOB PURPOSE:
Be developed and trained towards supporting the operation of the airport in terms of safety and security and provide an auditing service to airside users in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures and to offer excellent customer service at all times.

DUTIES:
Report to the Airport Duty Manager/ Operations Controller and support all aspects of the airside and landside operation including the following;
  • Maintain a high standard of Ramp safety at all times and to adhere to the Company Safety Management Programme.
  • Provide airside services by operating any necessary vehicles and machinery as required for the needs of the business and to provide airside services such as FOD clearance, Airside escorts, RT cover, snow/ice prevention & clearance, marshalling, Follow Me and any other reasonable tasks as requested.
  • Operate vehicles Landside, Airside and on public roads, as required;
  • Operate specialist vehicles, equipment and machinery essential to the needs of the business;
  • Protect the integrity of the Aerodrome by patrolling the Critical Part in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide services such as baggage and trolley handling, queue management, basic litter picking and any other reasonable tasks as required;
  • Provide a proactive service and information to all customers within the Airport;
  • Drive/operate vehicles to LGV / PCV standard;
  • Conduct airside inspections, such as runway surface and lighting checks as per CAA/ICAO requirements and airside audits as per the auditing programme.
  • Operate equipment and undertake all duties within the Operations Control Centre, after full training, when required.
  • Respond/assist during emergency events appropriately, and participate in any Emergency Exercise, as detailed in the Aerodrome Emergency Plan.
  • Conduct routine Terminal Audits. 
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and safely.
  • Work under pressure, maintaining consistent performance in high-pressure situations while contributing effectively to the team’s success.
  • Be flexible and able to adjust to changing factors and conditions, responding quickly in a professional manner.
  • Respond and assist as and where required during periods of operational disruption to the business.
  • Effectively and appropriately escalate concerns to reduce risk and promote passenger safety.
  • Ensure that all Statutory and Company regulations regarding health and safety, fire and security are followed to protect airport users, staff members and the business interests of the Company.
  • Uphold the company’s information security policies and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data.
