Training and Academies Lead
Belfast
Fixed Term until October 2027
35 hours per week (flexibility will be required)

Job Role
The Training and Academies Lead will lead the development, coordination and quality of community training and Employment Academies delivered through Bryson Communities and the NI-wide employment provision. The postholder will ensure that training responds to participant needs and employer demand, provides clear progression routes and is delivered to a consistently high standard
Key Responsibilities
Design, coordinate and, where required, deliver engaging, high-quality training programmes across Bryson Communities and the NI-wide employment provision, including accredited and non-accredited provision.
Act as the operational lead for training and Employment Academies delivered through Bryson Communities and the NI-wide employment provision.
Work jointly with the Employment and Partnerships Lead to identify priority sectors and develop Employment Academies in response to evidenced employer demand and realistic job opportunities.
Ensure all accredited and non-accredited training and academy delivery meets Bryson Pathways, funder and awarding-body standards.
Liaise closely with the central Skills Team and wider Bryson colleagues to align provision, share resources and avoid duplication.
Essential Criteria:
A recognised training or teaching qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Tutor Award or equivalent
English Language and Mathematics at grade C or above
Strong understanding of effective adult learning, inclusive training practice and the needs of participants facing barriers.
Good understanding of quality and compliance requirements within accredited training.
Understanding of progression pathways from training into further learning and employment.
Understanding of safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality requirements.
The candidate must hold a full and current driving licence valid in the UK with access to a car and business insurance on appointment
Desirable Criteria:
A Level 4 qualification or above in education, training, management, community development or a closely related discipline.
A recognised assessor, internal quality assurer or leadership qualification.
Knowledge of the Northern Ireland labour market, employer recruitment needs and sector-based academy models.
Knowledge of AdvicePro or comparable learner or case-management systems.
