Job Location:
Your base is Arclabs Innovation centre in Kilkenny. You are expected to work from the office, as the key hub for the programmes we deliver, some remote work can be developed after the initial induction 3 months.
Purpose of the role:
Our Team works in Programme training development and delivery with technology and data being at the heart of our approach. Our key areas are Climate and Sustainability, as well as work with Employability and Digital Skills. Due to the needs of the business and exciting new contracts with Blue Chip Clients we are growing our team.
This key senior role involves managing the quality and the financial budgets of the delivery team. With project managers and on behalf of Veri Connect, ensue you will ensure programmes are delivered to the required standards. The successful candidate will liaise internally and externally with a wide range of stakeholders including Veri Connect project managers and senior management and personnel, course participants, clients and their nominated representatives, suppliers and any relevant third party to facilitate training interventions.

REPORT AND BASE
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
HOURS OF WORK
- 8.15 am - 5 pm Monday to Thursday (30 mins for lunch)
- Friday 8.15 am - 12.45 pm
- Or 9 am -5 pm Monday to Friday
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Understanding of training development and delivery
- Understand our clients, Public Sector contracted training, Corporate CPD and funding compliance for large programmes and working to KPI’s connected with the successful delivery of projects to this group
- Preferable with and interest in environmental or sustainability programmes
- Team player that can communicate well and follow processes that are well-established
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ultimately accountable for quality and profitability of client projects (PM team have clear client project accountability, enabled with the right data)

Planning & Developing
- Working with the Director Of Sustainability, trainers and other SME’s and the CEO, you will be responsible for using the subject matter expertise available in the team in developing our product range. You will work both on existing accredited programmes, such as “Climate Action 101” and on custom solutions for our clients in Biodiversity, Water and Sustainability, Employability, Digital skills and others.
- Working with your direct report Programme Coordinator and assistants to ensure that quality training and content is delivered on time and in budget in accordance with contracts
- Working with your direct report of Veri Connect Environmental Subject Matter experts to ensure the learning objectives have been met on all programmes
- Working with relevant project managers for Client relationship management
- Working with Client as quality and content contact
Staffing
- Recruiting, selecting, and inducting new team members and contractors in association with Director of Sustainability, on the Environmental function
- Managing forward allocation of resources
Communication
- Maintaining open channels of communication with all relevant stakeholders involved in any project interventions and inter company.
Monitoring
- Monitoring projects to ensure quality delivery on time and within budget.
Problem-Solving
- Identify any and all issues limiting learner experience and take appropriate corrective action in association with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Dealing with client complaints as per the company policy.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Mandatory
- Honours degree ideally in management, education or science A minimum of 3 years experience training/ leading projects in vocational educational delivery.
Preferable
- Train the trainer Climate or Sustainability interest study

TOIL
Due to the nature of the Company, some roles within VERI will require Saturday and Sunday Work, this role while it will not be a regular feature of the job it may occur from time to time The Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) Policy will provide guidance in these circumstances. Time Off in Lieu will be offered to Employees who work for extended periods of time, i.e., overtime.Time Off in Lieu will be offered to Employees who work beyond their contracted hours, as analternative to pay, whereby any overtime hours accumulated by the employee can be taken as part of their Annual Leave.Time Off in Lieu will also be offered to Employees for travel time whilst travelling to onsite locations. For Employees who work Saturdays, they will be entitled to their basic pay plus Time Off in Lieu for any hours worked.For Employees who work on Sunday, the Sunday Premium will be 1.5 times the employees normal rate.Please note all Time off in Lieu must be agreed in advance with your manager.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
The employee should demonstrate a professional demeanour in the workplace, in both their actions and language. The employee should also maintain a respectful relationship with other employees, management and customers. The employee should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills when faced with any issue. The employee should endeavour to think of creative solutions and be flexible when problem-solving. The employee should be able to work independently with limited supervision from management.
