Transport Planner

Martin Ryan & Sons is a logistic company based in county Limerick with over 60 years in business.

We have an opening for a Transport Planner to coordinate the movement of vehicles predominantly in Ireland.

This position will be based out of the head office in Cappamore, Limerick, V94 W0C3

Responsibilities and Duties of this job include:

• Receiving and processing customer bookings
• Data entry and job progressing on to our in-house system (Move-IT) & our customer& systems
• Planning drivers’ collections and deliveries with awareness of driver’s tachograph hours regulations
• Booking & updating jobs
• Customer service
• Managing fleet availability for garage maintenance/testing
• Problem-solving

Qualifications and Skills for this job include:

• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent communications skills on email and verbally
• Good IT skills
• Geographical knowledge of Ireland
• Knowledge of driver’s tachograph rules

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Monday-Friday with half-day every second Saturday
