What you'll do as a
Treasury Manager - Funding & Liquidity
Contribute to the continued development of techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the function, delivering a quality & timely service. In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Oversee daily Treasury operations and provide leadership to three Treasury Analysts.
- Manage cash and liquidity, ensuring optimal cash flow, forecasting, and structure improvements.
- Develop short-term cash forecasting models and collaborate with cross-functional teams for accuracy.
- Optimise cash in transit and prepare regular cash reporting in collaboration with Finance.
- Administer guarantees and letters of credit, including negotiation, utilisation tracking, and cost reporting.
- Lead budgeting and cost analysis for banking fees and card acquiring services.
- Manage Primark’s capital structure, including inter-company financing, equity, and capital reductions.
- Support corporate funding strategy and working capital optimisation in existing and new markets.
- Build and maintain banking relationships, resolve payment issues, and manage transactional banking needs.
- Ensure treasury compliance and governance, including policy updates, risk controls, and audit readiness.
- Lead Treasury projects, including business continuity planning and Treasury Management System implementation.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships and develop a high-performing Treasury team through coaching and support.
What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
- Treasury qualification (ACT) preferred but not essential
- Accounting (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) qualified/part-qualified preferred but not essential.
- 5+ years of related Treasury or Risk management related experience.
- Strategic thinking coupled with strong commercial awareness; ability to identify and drive change.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and team and work within agreed timescales.
- Operates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact and professionalism.
- Ability to lead, influence and coach others
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Ambitious self-starter with a positive can-do attitude.
- Attention to detail with excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and capable of handling multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and manage key internal and external stakeholders and relationships.
