Tree Officer

Main Purpose of the Job:

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of the Nature Recovery Fund – FODC Oak Woodland Restoration for Nature Recovery. FODC Oak Woodland Restoration for Nature recovery, designed to restore and enhance biodiversity, improve habitat connectivity, and support climate resilience by planting native oak woodland, creating wildlife corridors, and improving habitat management. The candidate will be responsible for the management and enhancement of the tree stock within Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s parks. The Tree Officer will be responsible for planting, maintaining, and protecting trees while ensuring the implementation of sustainable management practices to improve biodiversity, contribute to climate action, and create safe, attractive green spaces for the local community.

Salary: SO1; SCP 25-27; £36,363 - £38,220 per annum (pro-rata)
