The New Product Tribe Lead is a senior leadership role within Three Ireland, reporting to the Chief Strategy & New Product Officer and part of the Senior Leadership Chapter (SLC).
This role plays a key part in identifying, developing, launching and scaling new products, platforms and partnerships that unlock new sources of growth beyond core connectivity. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, it is responsible for turning prioritised opportunities into customer propositions and sustainable revenue streams across both B2C and B2B markets.
The role leads the New Product Tribe and is accountable for defining the product vision, shaping the roadmap, building high-performing squads and delivering commercial outcomes. The role establishes a repeatable approach to launching and scaling new products and ensuring successful transition into the wider business when appropriate.
Define and Deliver New Product Growth
- Shape the Product Vision: Define and evolve the New Product Tribe’s vision and priorities, aligned to Three Ireland’s strategic ambitions and growth opportunities beyond core connectivity.
- Build New Growth Propositions: Develop and launch new products, platforms and services that deliver future sustainable growth beyond core connectivity.
- Own Product Strategy: Develop clear product strategies, business cases and value propositions that deliver on Three’s strategic ambition.
- Partnerships & Ecosystem: Build relationships with strategic partners to inform roadmap items.
- Scale Successful Propositions: Ensure the right operating model and roadmap is in place to support long-term success.
- Product Innovation Expertise: Significant experience in new product development, product management, or innovation leadership, with a track record of taking products from concept to successful market launch and scale. Experience in the telecommunications, technology, or digital services sector is highly desirable.
Product Development & Launch
- Drive Product Delivery: Lead cross-functional squads to design, build and launch products and platforms, that unlock new sources of growth beyond core connectivity.
- Test & Learn: Validate new propositions through experimentation, customer testing and pilot initiatives, using evidence to inform decisions and reduce risk.
- Go-to-Market Leadership: Plan and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for each new product launch. Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Retail, and Operations teams to ensure successful product introductions that are delivered on time and create positive customer impact.
- Post-Launch Growth & Optimisation: Oversee the post-launch performance and scaling of new products, closely monitoring key metrics and customer feedback.
Drive Commercial Performance:
- Own Tribe Outcomes: Lead the Tribe to deliver agreed objectives and key results.
- Enable Enterprise Planning: Ensure initiatives are clearly defined and ready to inform annual and quarterly planning cycles, supporting prioritisation and sequencing decisions.
- Business Case & Investment: Develop robust business cases for new product proposals, clearly outlining potential market opportunity, revenue streams, costs, and risks.
- P&L and Performance Management: Take full accountability for the New Product Tribe’s performance, including managing the Tribe’s P&L and ensuring that all initiatives deliver measurable commercial value and ROI.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Team Leadership & Culture: Inspire and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams to discover and deliver new products. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and trust within the tribe. Act as a servant leader, mentoring talent and promoting an agile mindset across the organisation.
- Cross-Functional & External Collaboration: Work closely with other Tribe Leads (e.g., in Product, Technology, Commercial) to ensure new initiatives are integrated smoothly into the broader business. Build collaborative relationships with our strategic partners to create cutting-edge ideas and best-in-class solutions into Three’s ecosystem.
- Commercial & Market Acumen: Strong business and financial acumen, including experience managing P&L and delivering against commercial targets. Ability to develop data-driven business cases, assess market opportunities, and ensure new ventures achieve profitable growth.
- Strategic Thinking & Execution: Capable of both big-picture strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Able to craft a long-term product strategy aligned with company objectives, and then translate it into operational plans, roadmaps, and deliverables. Experience aligning product strategy with overall business strategy to ensure coherence and success.
- Stakeholder Influence: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation, including senior executives and external partners. Comfortable presenting vision, business cases, and results to senior leadership forums.
