Underwriting Team Leader

We are seeking a Team Leaderto oversee and support our busy Commercial Underwriting Team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department while maintaining our reputation for providing trusted, professional commercial insurance advice to our brokers. 

What you'll be doing:

• Managing and supporting the team, ensuring workload is prioritised and delivered effectively. 
• Coaching, mentoring and developing team members through training, feedback and 1-2-1s. 
• Overseeing referrals and providing technical guidance where required. 
• Contributing to process improvements and initiatives to enhance service delivery.
• Monitoring compliance with FCA regulations and Company procedures. 
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy, documentation, and client confidentiality. 

What you need:

• 5 GCSEs (grade C or above, including Maths & English), or equivalent. 
• Expert understanding of Motor Trade Insurance and strong knowledge of Commercial products. 
• Demonstrable experience within the Insurance industry (including Sales and Underwriting). 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop people.
