VEHICLE AND TRANSPORT COORDINATOR | €17.08 per hour

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to coordinate village vehicle and transport operations so that procurement, commercial, colleague and other stakeholder requirements are optimised.

Reporting to the Deputy Village Director, and working in conjunction with the Group Fleet and Transport Manager your duties will include:

To oversee and audit village vehicle fleets ensuring that they are checked, maintained and taxed to company standards

Control and optimise vehicle operating costs to include the administration of maintenance schedules, fuel, vehicle hire, batteries, and other transport costs

Monitor and control OPEX costs versus budgets, prior year, and in comparison, with other villages

Act as a key point of contact for all village transport requirements, ensuring effective utilisation of the vehicle fleet to achieve operational efficiency

Encourage sustainable travel and co-ordinate colleague transport costs. Monitor and advise so that colleague transport is optimised and adapted for the benefit of colleagues and minimises company costs

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 120 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis, this means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.

You should have a strong customer focus as will be dealing with both external clients as well as various stakeholders within the business.

Essential requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to explain decisions and processes clearly
  • An organised and methodical approach, with high attention to detail
  • Problem solving and influencing skills
  • A good level of computer literacy
  • The ability to prioritise and organise workload

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of working with data and able to process relevant data from multiple sources.
  • Experience of working within transportation or logistics
