The role can be based in either Bicester or Ballymena and will require frequent travel.

The Job Summary:

Wrightbus is a fast‑moving company that has experienced significant growth over the past year, and we are now seeking a Vehicle Attributes Manager. This role is responsible for managing the delivery of vehicle attribute requirements across all Wrightbus products. It is a hands‑on position that translates customer requirements into achievable attribute targets at the vehicle, system, and component levels, ensuring these are delivered through the product design, engineering, and manufacturing phases.

The Role:
  • Lead the definition and delivery of attribute requirements and targets at vehicle, system, and component levels.
  • Implement and maintain product definition and requirements management processes.
  • Translate customer needs into clear product targets, features, and attribute criteria.
  • Provide technical leadership across key attributes and ensure cross‑functional alignment.
  • Support virtual and physical development to evaluate and optimise attribute performance.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to select systems and components that meet attribute targets.
  • Work with key suppliers to cascade, align and monitor requirements.
  • Communicate status versus attribute, vehicle, and system targets throughout development.
  • Review and manage change requests to protect product integrity and attribute performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities related to attribute delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product performance, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain robust, traceable documentation of attribute requirements and verification evidence.
  • Identify future resource needs, build and lead team as required.

The Requirements:
  • Degree in Automotive / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years in vehicle engineering / attribute management roles
