Vehicle Fitter
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our WAV Production team, as a Fitter, you will play a pivotal part in our mission to provide adapted vehicles that enhance mobility for individuals with disabilities, contributing to our legacy of service excellence. As Fitter you will be responsible for:
- Fitting of conversion to include ramps and restraint systems and adaptations according to company standards and customer specifications
- Fitting/wiring other accessories including electric reels, winches, sidesteps
- General welding on components during vehicle conversion
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively during installation and modification processes
- Maintain accurate records (timesheets) of work performed and parts used
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop and wider company
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment
Experience & Skills
- previous demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- basic welding experience (advantageous) although training will be provided
- excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- ability to work to under pressure in order to achieve agreed timescales
- prior experience in vehicle modification or conversion is advantageous
Pay Rates:
• 18-21 Apprenticeships starting at £13.50 per hour
• Fitters starting at £15.50 per hour
• Career progression up to master fitter at £18.50 per hour
• Overtime available upon qualification

Monday - Thursday, 7.30am-5.30pm
