The Opportunity
The Vice President (VP) of Controllership and FP&A is a senior financial leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, internal controls, planning and financial analysis. Reporting to the Dairy Nutrition CFO, this role ensures the integrity of financial information and supports strategic decision-making through timely and accurate reporting and analysis. The VP will lead a team of controllers and FP&A professionals and will play an active role in the evolution of the finance function for this global business as well as ad hoc projects from time to time.
Overview
- Responsible for the Dairy Nutrition Controllership and FP&A function including:
- Accuracy and integrity of financial information, including consistent and accurate reporting of performance and integrity of balance sheets
- Preparation of internal/ external financial information (monthly, quarterly, annual) and reporting for Executive Leadership Team and the Board
- Overseeing the month end financial consolidation and reporting for the Dairy Nutrition business and budgets/ forecasts, providing timely and insightful analysis and commentary on business performance and cash management
- Work closely with Commercial and Operations Finance teams to ensure consistent reporting across the global business. Work closely with Group functions to ensure compliance IFRS, tax, treasury and other Group policies as appropriate
- Responsible for both the external audit process and co-ordination of all internal audits, including implementation of audit recommendations
- Serve as key advisor to the Dairy Nutrition and executive leadership on financial matters
- Lead and improve financial systems, drive automation and optimize reporting efficiency
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Controllership and FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and integrity
- Participation in ad hoc/ special projects from time to time.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Professional Accounting qualification, ideally with “Big 4” or equivalent training and with 10+ years finance experience
- Experience in business transformation, systems integration and CPG/FMCG environment a plus
- High integrity, ethics and discretion in handling sensitive information
- Strong financial acumen including strong technical accounting skills
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a cross functional matrix organization
- Hands on experience of using and operating SAP systems and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

- Business planning – Can drive an optimised financial and business planning process across the business to ensure rigorous evaluation of investments and value creating opportunities
- Business analysis and modeling – Proven track record in using knowledge of finance analysis and modelling to provide realistic and relevant reports to support the business decision making process
- Audit - Provides effective oversight of the effectiveness of key controls within the business through internal audits and reviews
- Risk identification – Can accurately identify and mitigate key commercial and business risks
- IT skills – Can leverage IT technologies and systems to drive and improve business performance.
