The Company:
Aurora Beds manufacture a wide range of mattresses, divan beds and headboards from a modern manufacturing facility in Corlurgan Business Park, Cavan. The company currently supply the retail and contract furniture sector throughout Ireland.
The Role:
Aurora Beds is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to join our operations team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will be expected to ensure the efficient, safe and accurate operation of all warehouse activities while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Over the past 2 years, Aurora Beds have invested in new manufacturing, warehouse and inventory management systems. The newly created role of Warehouse Lead will play a key role in the development, implementation and management of these improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and coordinate daily warehouse operations including unloading, receiving deliveries, stock transfers, stock counting and stock control.
- Ensure all incoming goods are processed and booked into the system accurately and in a timely manner to maintain inventory integrity.
- Ensure all incoming goods are unloaded, inspected and any discrepancies are recorded.
- Arrange the timely and accurate movement of stock to manufacturing operations
- Store incoming stock in the appropriate location and complete associated documentation/electronic transfers.
- Implement strategies to utilize and manage warehouse/racking capabilities.
- Lead and support the implementation of warehouse process improvements, particularly in
- scanning technology, code generation/management, traceability and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and operational standards.
- Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture, including routine equipment checks,
- working practices and maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse.
Key Skills and Qualifications:·
- Leaving Certificate or Equivalent
- Previous Experience in a busy Warehouse
- Valid Forklift Licence
- Full Clean Drivers Licence
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Stock Control Processes
- Experience monitoring, counting, auditing stock.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and engage with suppliers.
