Warehouse Manager
The Opportunity
The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily operations within a fast-paced, GDP/GMP regulated warehouse environment. They will be responsible for leading a team of five managing recruitment, training, performance and continuous improvement. They will collaborate with other departments within the business to ensure timely and accurate distribution of critical medical products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee Day-to-day Warehouse Operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch of pharmaceutical goods.
- Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Management of cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory optimization activities.
- Ensuring that warehouse equipment is maintained according to the manufacturers’ recommendations and regulatory standards.
- Maintaining a safe and clean warehouse environment.
- Provide direction and guidance to Warehouse Team in managing their daily work priorities.
- Ensure your team are trained and competent in their areas of responsibility and adhere to all company safety policies.
- Responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle for your team to include Recruitment, Training & Development, Absence management & Performance management.
- Recognise and celebrate success on a team and individual level.
- Collaborate with other departments including logistics and procurement to schedule deliveries and ensure seamless operations.
- Resolving supply chain issues or delays in conjunction with logistics & customer services.
- Working with Quality & Regulatory to ensure adherence to GMP/GDP standards and internal SOPs across all supply chain processes.
- Liaising and interacting with suppliers, customers, service providers as required.
Experience & profile:
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or regulated industry
- Experience in people management with a willingness to support developing teams, is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build internal/external relationships at all levels.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proactive and motivated approach, with a view to implement continuous improvement and best practice processes.
- Experience in Stock Management System Sage, Microsoft Office including Excel is preferable.
Other Information:
- This role is a full time, Permanent Role
- Available to work beyond normal business hours as required
- Full clean driving licence recommended.
