Role Summary

This role is for an individual with a strong desire to work in the automotive industry, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will possess good IT skills, a valid B driving license, and ideally, previous experience in warehouse, stock control, or customer service. A forklift license is preferable, but training can be provided. Key responsibilities include assisting stores staff in providing efficient service to workshop colleagues, managing part deliveries and stock, distributing parts, assisting with stock checks, and collecting parts from suppliers. During quiet periods, the role will also involve assisting the workshop with maintenance, cleaning, and general operative duties. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, reliable, and have a positive, can-do attitude, with availability for shift work.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role will be responsible for assisting the stores staff in providing an efficient and quality service to our workshop colleagues

  • Receiving part deliveries, checking & placing in stock

  • Distribute required parts and material directly to your workshop colleagues

  • Assisting in carrying stock checks 

  • Collecting parts directly from suppliers

  • During quiet periods in the stores assist in workshop with maintenance, cleaning and possible general operative and PDI duties

  • Skills & Experience 

  • Have a strong desire to work within the automotive industry

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Possess a good level of IT skill

  • Hold a valid B driving license

  • Evidence of previous relevant experience in a comparable warehouse / stock control / customer service environment would be an advantage

  • Trustworthy and reliable with a positive can-do attitude. 

  • Availability for shift work

  • Forklift licence would be preferable but training and certification could be provided for the right candidate
