We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Operator to join our growing team within our pharmaceutical warehousing operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment while maintaining the high levels of accuracy, quality and compliance required within pharmaceutical logistics.

You will play a key role in ensuring pharmaceutical goods are received, stored, handled and dispatched safely and efficiently, while following GDP requirements, company SOPs and Health & Safety standards at all times.

What You’ll Do
  • Receive, store, pick and prepare pharmaceutical stock for dispatch accurately and efficiently.

  • Operate warehouse equipment including Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Ride-on Pallet Trucks and VNA equipment, where trained and certified.

  • Safely load and unload goods in line with company procedures.

  • Carry out cycle counts and stock checks to support accurate inventory management.

  • Complete all required warehouse documentation accurately and ensure records are maintained in line with GDP and company procedures.

  • Follow relevant SOPs and ensure warehouse processes are completed correctly and consistently.

  • Assist with Goods In and Goods Out activities, ensuring stock is correctly checked and processed.

  • Carry out manual handling duties, including handballing and repalletising loads when required.

  • Maintain a clean, organised and compliant warehouse environment through housekeeping and “clean as you go” practices.

  • Conduct routine forklift and equipment checks and report any issues promptly.

  • Support stock investigations and report any discrepancies, damages or issues identified.

  • Follow all Health & Safety, GDP, quality and compliance requirements at all times.

  • Support the wider warehouse team with operational duties as required.

This is a hands-on role involving regular manual handling and physical warehouse activity. Due to the pharmaceutical nature of the operation, a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and adherence to procedures is essential.

What You’ll Bring
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics or similar operational environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to completing tasks accurately.

  • A good understanding of Health & Safety practices within a warehouse environment.

  • Ability to follow procedures, instructions and documented processes consistently.

  • A reliable and flexible approach to work.

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to carry out physically active warehouse duties, including lifting and moving goods.

Skills, Training & Experience
  • Previous experience within a pharmaceutical, healthcare, food or other regulated warehouse environment would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge or previous experience of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) would be beneficial.

  • Manual Handling Certificate preferred but not essential.

  • Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Ride-on Pallet Truck or VNA licence preferable but not essential.

  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)would be an advantage.

  • Full training can be provided for the right candidate.
