Warehouse Operative
Location: The Warehouse, Vision Ireland Retail, Unit C1, Newhall M7 Business Park, Co Kildare,
Vacancy Type: Full Time, permanent contract
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 8am-4pm
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager
Purpose of the job: Responsible for the processing of donations for resale in Vision Ireland’s network of Charity Shops nationwide

Key Duties:· Sort and grade textile/clothing items by separating into predetermined classifications (e.g., men’s, women’s, children’s, and other textiles) and into quality levels (retail store grade, outlet grade, or salvage) and sort and grade household wares.
· Helping with the loading and unloading of vans during busy periods. Adhere to safe work practices at all times and contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment.
· When necessary assist with the in house training of new Warehouse employees.
· Assisting the Warehouse Manager with duties around warehouse 1 & 2 during busy periods.
· Achieving relevant KPI goals that are assigned by the warehouse manager
· Follow Vision Ireland Retail policies and procedures
Requirements:· Experience in a warehouse environment
· Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
· Experience working in a face paced environment
· Knowledge of safe work practices in a warehouse environment
Forklift licence is preferable but not essential.
Manual Handling certification is preferable but not essential.
