Panelto Foods is an Irish Food company based in Longford and established in 2004. Panelto produces a range of high quality contemporary sandwich breads for the UK and Irish and food service markets, from a highly automated world class bakery. Panelto has recently experienced a successful major expansion, doubling the size of the existing factory and workforce.

About the role

Working as part of the Supply Chain team you will be responsible for supporting the on site warehouse activity. This includes inbound movements, storage of raw materials, packaging, finished goods, work in progress goods and all outbound movements plus ensuring their accurate stock control movements and transactions.

Roles and Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Lead by example – take appropriate care and attention when working in warehouse environment. Ensure your Training records are up to date at all times
• Support Warehouse Manager with Health & Safety accident investigations and corrective actions
• Undertake when requested Site H&S walks
• Undertake H&S Toolbox Talks when required
• Maintain all warehouses clean, tidy and clutter free to make working environments safe

Food Safety & Quality

Support Warehouse Manager in delivering the following

• Maintain high hygiene standards across the Despatch Area and the Wash Room
• Ensure all cleaning activities are undertaken and recorded
• Ensure all goods leaving the site are to Customer Specification
• Support customer audits by acting as lead Warehouse contact
• Pick and record all goods to FEFO guidance (first Expiry, First Out)

Labour Management

• When Warehouse Manager is on leave prepare weekly staff rosters and labour plans to support production
• Train staff for any gaps in team skills in line with appropriate SOP’s
• Schedule work for each shift to deliver optimum productivity

Equipment and Warehouses

• Ensure all warehouses and supporting areas are always “customer audit ready”
• Ensure all housekeeping and cleaning tasks are undertaken and recorded as per Quality Team guidance

Stock Control

• Support Warehouse Manager in ensuring Goods In accuracy, and POD validation process, to avoid Invoice Reconciliation issues.
• Act as WMS (LISA) and Scanner Champion – ensure all operator log ins are correctly used and that operators are using scanners and WMS correctly

Supervisor Specific Duties

• Act as Freezer Champion
• Support Planning by undertaking 36hr check approx. 3 times per week

Key Experience & Skills

• Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Suite is desired, in particular Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required to communicate with internal/external stakeholders
• Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve
• Ability to root cause problems, and address gaps with hold to account actions
• Ability to identify and actively plan improvements agendas
• Attention to detail is vital as role is important in keeping the Company service levels high
