Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced WarehouseSupervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfilment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Working Hours - Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm - 1 hour lunch

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for ensuring all stock is maintained at optimum level whilst ensuring stock does not become aged
  • Ensure efficient receipt, storage, picking & dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Handle any operational issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Liaise with the Line Manager & Wanzl Kildare Office team to ensure they are informed of any delays or issues
  • Ensure that the warehouse areas are always clean and tidy
  • Train new team members
  • To monitor and actively encourage a safe working environment using procedures set out by Wanzl & HSE.
  • To submit accurate H&S reports/ checks monthly Support annual stock counting

Requirements:

·Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar role.

·Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control in a fast-paced environment.

·Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

·Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

·Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·Familiarity with IT systems.

·Forklift license – Counterbalance licence essential and Reach licence desirable

·Full driving licence

·Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
