The Role:
The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the Sustainability and Innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored. The Asset Management function is responsible for strategic planning, prioritisation, and development of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Works pipeline. The function plays a key role in promoting collaboration and co-ordination of activities across the three asset functions as well as providing environmental assessment and management expertise across Uisce Éireann
The Asset Planning team is accountable for the timely delivery of essential, value for money water services Infrastructure for Ireland. The scope of the team's responsibility covers 5 main areas: Housing Growing, Capex Pipeline, Risk Maintenance and Safety, Critical Assets and Leakage.
Reporting to the Wastewater Network Performance Analyst, the Wastewater Network Performance Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the enhancement of asset information and modelling data to provide greater confidence to assessments undertaken on the performance and capacity of wastewater networks. The role holder cooperates closely with the Wastewater Asset Planning team and is required to work closely with internal and external stakeholders where necessary.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Support key wastewater network performance services including:
Conduct hydraulic model maintenance activities.
Survey below ground assets including validation of data collected and its transfer to Uisce Éireann systems.
Manage and validate wastewater network data generated by Drainage Area Plans and other programmes.
Digitise and analyse wastewater network asset and survey data
Support the development of systems and processes to incorporate permanent and temporary network monitor data (flow, depth etc.) into models and performance assessments
Assist in the development and management of wastewater network survey and modelling standards
Support the development of solutions for customer operational problems e.g., flooding, blockages
Support new initiatives within the fields of network analysis and management as required and directed by the Wastewater Network Performance Manager
General Duties and Responsibilities
Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives
Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation
Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
Min 1 year relevant Experience in a similar role in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable
Experience of data systems- such as GIS, InfoAsset Manager, modelling or business intelligence/data analytic software- relating to wastewater, utilities or similar industries is desirable
Ability to set up processes and procedures to collect and review data
Strong Computer skills with a proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to analyse customer needs and provide support to resolve issues
Proven ability to work on own initiative and with others to promote the success in the performance of a team
Demonstrated flexibility with regard to working in a changing environment and the ability to adjust to new work structures, processes and requirements as necessary
Track record of striving for quality and ensuring consistently high standards of work
Proven track record in raising safety concerns and helping to find solutions
