The Role:
The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure. The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water and Wastewater operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered.
Wastewater Operations & Maintenance team are responsible for the national delivery of wastewater operational services through the operation, inspection, maintenance & repair of the wastewater treatment and network assets (sink to environment), whilst focusing on managing health and safety, preventing customer impact, reducing leakage, and improving the performance and efficiency of our wastewater services.
Reporting to the Wastewater Operations Delivery Manager, the Wastewater Operations Delivery Analyst is responsible for supporting development and delivery of wastewater programmes of work and supporting the resolution of Wastewater Operations issues as they arise.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Wastewater Operations strategic programmes of work and events, ensuring successful outcomes within agreed timelines.
- Support continual improvement and change delivery in Wastewater Operations to aim for right first time in delivering technical and engineering solutions.
- Input into the development of a proposed change plan for the year, aligned with the annual workplan and gaining acceptance with Asset Operations business units.
- Input into the development of performance metrics to demonstrate the impact of the team in delivering and embedding change and support the collation of the relevant data.
- Build effective relationships with the stakeholders and teams so that feedback on areas of improvement is accepted and understood.
- Ensure relevant reports and business cases are written to support justification for change activities.
- Deliver work within accepted change management frameworks.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
- Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
- Support the promotion and delivery of relevant Operations health and safety commitments.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant third level qualification or accreditation and/or relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience is required. Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable.
- Experience managing a team, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- We work better together - proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others
- Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to others.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements and propose and implement solutions.

Please note the Market reference point (midpoint) of the range is generally the upper end of the offer where someone is deemed to be fully competent to take on the duties of the role, and leaves room for the employee to progress through the pay range as their experience develops further.
