WGH Assistant Director Of Nursing Infection Prevention & Control

The Assistant Director of Nursing Infection Prevention & Control in conjuction with other members of Infection Prevention and Control team, will lead and co-ordinate the development and delivery of the Infection Prevention and Control service, compatible with modern standards and in line with the antimicrobial resistance and infection control (AMRIC) programme.

They will work collaboratively with range of internal and external stakeholders including:-

• Director/Assistant Director of Nursing
• RANPs, CNSs and other nursing grades
• Nurse Practice Development Co-ordinator and CPCs
• Medical Colleagues
• AHP Colleagues
• Patients/service users/families and or carers
• Senior Management Team
• Other relevant statutory and non statutory organisations

They will be professionally accountable to the Director of Nursing and Clinically accountable to the Consultant Microbiologist/Microbiology Service with responsibility for Infection Prevention and Control.
