WGH Clinical Nurse Manager, Cancer Care Co-ordinator

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Cancer Care Co-Ordinator role is a key component of the cancer patient’s treatment pathway for both benign and malignant conditions. They will be an integral part of the Wexford General Hospital colorectal multidisciplinary team and will have a central role in co-ordinating the colorectal cancer service and other cancers.

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 will liaise closely with the CNM3 Peri-Operative services, the surgical teams, surgical wards, medical oncology, radiology, the colorectal clinics, general practitioners, public health nurses and palliative care units, and will provide a service which meets national and international quality guidelines.

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 will be expected to participate in audits of the service and ensure the service is meeting national quality guidelines e.g. HIQA and NCCP. The Clinical Nurse Management 2 will liaise with stoma services where required

The post holder will report to the Director of Nursing via Assistant Director of Nursing via CNM3 Peri-operative Services.
