WGH Clinical Nurse Manager, Facilitator Theatre/endoscopy

The post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Clinical Facilitator Theatre/Endoscopy has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.

The purpose of this post is to ensure that the nursing staff have the required and appropriate clinical skills and competencies to fulfil their roles and responsibilities in the provision of patient care

The post holder will have close working relationships with the Multidisciplinary team across the perioperative services. In addition to supporting the nursing staff the CNM’s will liaise closely with the anaesthetic, surgical, gastroenterologists, obstetric and gynaecological consultants and their teams, relevant nursing departments, decontamination services, Infection, Prevention and Control, Quality and Risk, Human Resources, Biomedical engineer, Maintenance and relevant support services.

The Clinical Facilitator Theatre and Endoscopy works as part of the Practice Development Team and reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (Perioperative Service) and Assistant Director of Nursing Practice Development and is accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing.
