WGH Clinical Nurse Manager Shift Leader Emergency Department

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Shift Leader – Emergency Department has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area.

The main responsibilities are:

· Quality assurance,

· Resource management,

· Staffing and staff development,

· Practice development,

· Facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.

The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Shift Leader – Emergency Department works as part of a multidisciplinary team including but not restricted to ED Consultants and medical teams, Nursing Management Team, National Ambulance Service and the ED nursing and HCA team.

They will report to the CNM 3 / Divisional Nurse Manager as relevant to the post / as appropriate. Accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing.
