WGH Clinical Risk Manager

Wexford General Hospital are currently recruiting for a Grade VII Clinical Risk Manager. The Grade VII Clinical Risk Manager will support the Executive Management Team in:

• The development of proactive risk management systems and improvement processes that place the quality and safety of patient care at their centre.
• The development and co-ordination of a risk management programme in the hospital that aims to effectively manage, measure and monitor patient safety throughout the hospital.
• The promotion of best evidence risk management practices that foster a fair, open and learning culture
• The implementation of systems and processes to ensure that the organisation learns from patient safety incidents and claims analysis.
• Support to the Executive Management Team, Consultants, Nurse Managers and Department Heads in establishing a proactive risk management culture, focussing on patient safety within clinical teams and departments

To work with the Quality and Patient Safety team in WGH with the key focus of this role being Patient Safety and Risk Management in alignment to the Commitments of the HSE Patient Safety Strategy 2019-2024. The post holder will work collaboratively with all WGH staff to drive improvement in patient safety priorities.
