WGH Staff Nurse/midwife-special Care Baby Unit
The Staff Nurse/Midwife Special Care Baby Unit will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting.
The Staff Nurse/Midwife Special Care Baby Unit will provide holistic, person centred and family centred care (promoting optimum independence) promoting the development of each baby, enhancing the attachment between the baby and their family and empowering the family to be an integral part of the team caring for the baby (the quality of life for service users).
They will be professionally accountable to the Director of Midwifery or designated officer and will report to the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 or designated officer
Candidates will be required to have a flexible approach to rostering arrangements, which will include a requirement to work unsocialable hours including nights, weekends and bank holidays
