Workflow Support and Development Supervisor

The Role:
The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure. The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water and Wastewater operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered.
The Workflow Functional Area is responsible for the management and monitoring of all outdoor work through the full work order lifecycle from planning to closure. This includes overseeing the initiation, dispatch and progression of work orders, processing of service requests, allocating adequate resources, identification of bundling opportunities, identification of work pre-requisites, creation of work orders to be progressed and dispatched to the field, the management of the logistics and stores to enable effective and efficient inventory control, Outage notification & processing and complaint resolution.
Reporting to the Workflow Support Services Lead, the Workflow Support & Development Supervisor willbe responsible for managing a team that will closely work with counterparts from Uisce Éireann, Water Service Area and 3rd parties supporting the delivery of all business development and change initiatives impacting Workflow and the wider Asset Operations function.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as key Workflow point of contact for Water Service Area work management support and issue resolution needs.
Oversee training and deployment of Workflow field-based systems and processes
Develop training material, Powerpoint, Quick Reference Guide & Video’s
Support and oversee continued use of hand-held units by field-based staff including, Trimble and new CrewWorks applications.
Manage Field Force Trainers monthly work programme and monitor progress against targets.
Develop and implement all necessary Workflow systems and processes to support ongoing transformation initiatives
Provide subject matter expertise for all Workflow related system testing activities, UAT, SIT, E2E, etc.
Promote and drive continued workmanagement evolution and best practices to support the capture of all UÉ field activity
Initiate and manage all systems change requests on behalf of Workflow
Collaborate with management across Uisce Éireann to communicate, promote and share guidance and best practice on work management systems, methodologies, benefits and governance frameworks
Manage, attend and represent Workflow and Asset Operations interests on Working Groups, Steering Committees as required.
Monitor work management KPI’s and make appropriate recommendations to the business to ensure best practices are implemented and stakeholder expectations are achieved
Build and foster key relationships across Asset Operations, IDD, Customer Operations and the wider Uisce Éireann business ensuring focus on providing support to all aspects of work management delivery
Maintain all Workflow systems / process training materials
Partake and provide input to relevant business transformation projects as required including the Mobile Improvement Programme (MIP) and Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve work management processes and procedures to effectively serve the business
Oversee people-management / employee engagement responsibility for a team of officers and trainers
Understand and contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Workflow function and overall departmental business plans.
Actively promote a culture of continuous improvement across the team.
Understand Uisce Éireann’s business strategy and performance focus
Raise risks and issues as appropriate to the management
Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information, and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.
Perform other such duties as required
General Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
Provide visible leadership for your team, coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential and deliver business objectives, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience in Maximo & CrewWorks app is desirable
Experience around video editing & training is desirable
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and/or relevant experience
Demonstrated people management ability, proactive development, motivation and engagement of staff
Experience managing a team, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
Preferred but not essential experience in day to day operational management of direct reports
Experience in the aera of people, change management and conflict resolution skills
Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
Grade and Salary E) €49,252 - €73,877
