Workshop Controller

Job Summary

• Responsible for individual technician and workshop efficiency, productivity and utilisation.

• Conducting regular workshop team meetings, discussing relevant performance figures and highlighting areas of opportunity.

• Must be an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a demanding environment and able to motivate a team.

• You will monitor workshop operations and staff to ensure the achievement of budget and high levels of efficiency whilst maintaining quality.

• Ensure all audits guidelines are adhered to and form part of a robust daily routine with full staff engagement.

• Ensure first time fix and return to workshop levels are managed effectively, documented and actioned within the workshop environment.

• Identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities within the team.

• Proactively highlight skills gaps and training needs as necessary to develop the team.

You must be able to demonstrate the following essential skills:

• Previous experience of leading, motivating and developing a team.
• Actively identify risks and concerns then present and implement improvements.
• Positively influence a team to achieve Quality and Health and Safety standards.
• Proactive and enthusiastic attitude to meet and exceed targets.
• To have excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
• Adapt to a fast paced and changeable environment with a can-do attitude.
• Able to work in an organised & methodical manner ensuring that all daily tasks are completed efficiently.
• Minimum of 2 years experience of supervising/managing a team.

And if possible (but not essential) have:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Workshop Environment.
• CDK / Keyloop knowledge.
• A strong working knowledge of modern motor technology.
• Previous experience of the Audi Brand.
