Job Title – Yard Operative (Full Time / Permanent)
Location - Huhtamaki (Lisburn) Ltd, 66 Ravarnet Road Lisburn
Hours - 40 hours per week (Rota - 0800-1630)
Hourly Rate - £12.57 per hour /Weekly Paid
Annual Bonus Potential - Up to £1,200

Overall Purpose of the Job
To ensure that the factory and yard are maintained safely, securely and cleanly and to carry out duties allocated in a safe and efficient manner.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

• Loading/Unloading lorries in a safe and efficient manner
• Recording goods dispatched
• Recording weight of lorries on arrival/departure
• Sorting paper into appropriate grades
• Baling paper
• Shredding paper
• To ensure that all plant and machinery is maintained in optimum condition by adhering to agreed service schedules
• To ensure the factory is maintained as a clean and safe working environment at all times

Essential Short-listing Criteria

• The successful candidate will have:
• A good standard of general education
• A current & valid counter balance fork-lift license
• 6 months previous experience gained in a similar role and environment
• Knowledge of service routines for fork-lift trucks
• Knowledge of safety involved with vehicle loading/unloading
• Health and safety awareness
• Security clearance

Desirable Short-listing Criteria

• Skidsteer trained
