Youthreach Coordinator
Salary Scale
€47,131 p.a. - €71,505 p.a.
Long service Increment 1, €74,706 after three years satisfactory service at the maximum.
Long Service Increment 2, €77,054 after three years satisfactory service at LSI 1
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of current experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
Annual Leave
30 working days per annum (pro-rata).
Working Week
35 hours per week (exclusive of one hour lunch)
Probation
In accordance with S.I. No. 686/2022 - European Union (Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions) Regulations 2022, the period of probation shall not exceed 12 months.
Superannuation
Membership of the ETB Superannuation Scheme and of the ETB’s Spouses and Children’s Scheme is automatic and compulsory.

Job Objectives
Overview of the Role
The role of the Youthreach Coordinator is to manage the day-to-day operations of centre. To manage the centre’s resources (physical, financial and human), to build and maintain a positive collaborative working relationships with staff, students and the wider community. To provide learning and administrative support, as appropriate and teach subject specialism
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of Youthreach Coordinator - CL12/03
- Responsibility to the YR Regional Coordinator for the overall daily management of the centre.
- Supervision of staff, staff development, team formation and leadership
- Recruitment of trainees
- Delivery of the centre programme, including curriculum development, discipline, administration of certification procedures, organisation of work experience, networking with other co-ordinators and centres, and organisation of guidance and counselling support
- Liaising with the local community and other appropriate agencies
- Assessment and monitoring of trainee course work
- Development and monitoring of programmes
- Administrative duties appropriate to the post
- Budgeting and financial management within the financial framework of the ETB system
- Management and development of premises, including health and safety
- Direct class contact in keeping with programme needs, as required by the ETB, subject to a maximum of 15:40 hours per week..
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- A third level qualification to degree or equivalent
- Experience of education management
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Resource management skills – managing people, budgets, buildings etc.
- Ability to create and maintain business networks/relationships
- Excellent office administration experience (IT literate)
- The enthusiasm and confidence needed to deliver the subject area
