The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member: Support Worker – Croft Support Living Job Ref: 26-015-BSW-CROFTSL-WEB Job Role: Bank Support Worker Salary: £12.60 per hour Location: Croft Communities, 71 Bloomfield Rd, Bangor, BT20 4UR The Service Croft Communities provide Supported Living support to adults with learning disabilities. Currently we provide quality housing, care and support for 28 people to live as independently as possible within their local community. This includes support to achieve basic living activities, work / day placements where appropriate, social interaction with the community and maintain good family connections etc. The Role The Support Worker is part of the Croft Communities team and the main purpose of their role is to provide care and support to service users with a learning disability to enable them to live happy and fulfilled lives reaching their full potential within their local community. The role of Support Worker always requires a team approach with effective working relationships for the benefit of the service user. This includes: Assist service users with activities of daily living and facilitate inclusion of service users in a broad range of activities. Support service users with identified personal care and support needs. Support Workers are required to work flexibly and be available to work unsociable hours and public holidays on a rotational basis. We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Full Time Dispenser/Trainee Dispenser to work in our Donaghcloney branch. Working 40 hours per week, between the hours of 9.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, according to the rota. Additional hours may be required from time to time and applicants must be fully flexible to work according to the rota. Working as part of a team duties can include; sales of over the counter medicines, providing customers with information on symptoms and products, prescription receipt and collection, date checking, and the ordering, receiving and storing of pharmaceutical stock.
